Note: To be considered for a full-time position, you must be a committed Christian and have attended Christ Church within the past three months.
Director of Human Resources (Full Time)
The position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of all human resource functions; administering human resource policies, programs, and practices—including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing all human resource related activities of the organization.
Candidate must possess knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; ability to analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, as well as legal documents.
At minimum, mid-level management experience in human resource plans and procedures is required.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM certification a plus.
Facilities Associate (Full Time)
Under general supervision, learns and performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled manual work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of Christ Church and affiliates.
Perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Assist with the maintenance of buildings: painting, repair plaster and drywall structures, replace faucets and screens.
Perform all seasonal functions of maintenance during winter, summer, spring and fall, such as snow removal, weeding, grounds cleanup.
Obtain estimates for supplies, and parts for equipment.
Check inventory levels for supplies and auto fuel.
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Working experience in the field of maintenance and repair (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.) is desirable but not mandatory.
Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.
Ability to qualify for SORA (security) license.
Choir Director (Part Time)
The Choir Director is a part-time position, responsible for developing an East Campus adult choir who is able to perform songs from a wide variety of Christian musical styles, both traditional and current. The Choir Director is under the direct supervision of the Worship Pastor and Music Directors.
A committed Christian who is deepening their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and modeling this to others.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Music is preferred, but at least 5 years of experience leading adult choirs.
Knowledge of a wide variety of musical styles and the ability to teach these varying styles to the choir.
Must be able to sing and teach parts effectively.
Possess good organizational, computer and communication skills.
Possess a positive attitude.
Must be able to provide relevant references and or samples of your musical expertise.
Visionary, cross-generational and far-reaching leadership style
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and lead the choir during monthly Sunday worship services and lead weekly (Thursday night) rehearsals in Montclair.
Assist the Worship Pastor with major musical events, i.e. Christmas, Christmas Eve services and Easter services, New Year’s Eve, etc.
Recruit and develop new choir members.
Worship & Creative Arts Ministry: Childcare Support (Part Time)
The Worship & Creative Arts Ministry is looking for one to two adult women, who are Christ Church members, to work one to two nights a month at the Church overseeing the childcare room while parents are rehearsing with the music ministry. On average there will be seven to nine children, ages 3-10.
Thursday nights – East Campus (Montclair)
6:30pm – 9:30pm
Or, a few
Tuesday nights – West Campus (Rockaway)
7:00pm – 9:45pm
A small stipend is paid for work each evening.
