God Moves at 2018 VBS

It’s been quite a summer for the Children’s Ministry, as God’s presence was strongly felt at Vacation Bible School in July. The event (shown above) was a major success with nearly 200 kids participating and 36 students making a first-time decision for Jesus! One of the many aims of the 4RStudents Movement is to reach even more kids at next year’s VBS and allow God to work through us as we help children start with a strong foundation of faith in their walk with Christ. In addition to the powerful ministry that took place, over $1,000 dollars were raised for iCare kits, which serve local children in need by blessing them with special birthday deliveries!

The Movement is also focused on making sure our content for children is more dynamic, engaging, and relevant to their needs. To that end, the Children’s Ministry recently began teaching our youngest learners about worship. Kids were taught that worship is not just sitting and listening, but actively thinking about God and appreciating Him for who He is!
