If you can afford to pass down money as an inheritance, go for it. If you can leave them property, by all means do so. But more importantly, give them the gift of an unconquerable faith, an unstoppable drive, and an insatiable passion to serve Jesus Christ. By volunteering to teach in Kidtropolis or assist in teen church, giving financially to improve our student ministry worship spaces, or driving our college shuttle to pick up young adults for service, you’re helping them catch hold of a God legacy.
Jesus made a bold statement to correct His disciples’ low value of ministry to children when He said: “Don’t push these children away. Don’t ever get between them and me. These children are the very center of life in the kingdom.” (Mark 10:14, TMB). The Master’s words created a shift in the values of His disciples concerning their ministry to students.
