ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead scheduled bible studies for Quest Young Adults.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a comprehensive bible study curriculum with direction from the Pastor
  • Partner with Core Team on thematic focus, purpose and expected results of the study
  • Attend all bible studies scheduled or ensure the studies are properly facilitated/covered
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director for promoting bible studies
  • Recruit and train facilitators regularly, providing an evaluation form
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED / SPIRITUAL GIFTS

  • Experience in teaching the Bible and bible-based curriculum
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of teachers and instructors

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Planning, scheduling and leading community service projects once-a-month in our community and with our partners such as Habitat for Humanity, HomeCorps Montclair, Goodwill Missions, Community Food Bank and others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and schedule monthly community service projects
  • Work with Marketing Team to advertise and promote project to young adult community
  • Attend and supervise the project, serving alongside the team of volunteers
  • Debrief with assigned supervisor on effectiveness of projects

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Organize and lead a team of creatives and artists. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule quarterly Creatives nights for young adults 
  • Develop a clear strategy of engaging young adults to develop their creative expressions
  • Curate projects used for events and Quest Young Adults originals 
  • Collaborate with the social events, The Sidewalk, music, and media teams 
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan and lead hospitality efforts (including set-up, food, drink, and décor) for Quest Young Adults sponsored events and every Saturday for the Q Lounge at the East Campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and plan the set-up, food choices and décor for young adults events
  • Schedule hospitality teams for events and the East Campus Saturday Q Lounge (after service)
  • Work with Core Team in budgeting resources as needed 
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead the marketing efforts of Quest Young Adults through advertising campaigns, targeting strategies and producing quality content for in-person, website, blogs, social media platforms, and much more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize internal databases for direct contact with young adults 
  • Strategize marketing/advertising campaigns for young adult events
  • Provide guidelines for team leaders for promoting an event or an initiative
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations that represent Quest Young Adults 
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead the Quest Young Adults media team, providing technical expertise in the ministry’s sound, media and video-related production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall audio and visual (A/V) technical guidance, leadership and production
  • Prepare worship media along with Vocal Director, Music Director and Core Team members
  • Practice event flow and media transitions at scheduled rehearsals
  • Attend trainings offered by the Media Team of Christ Church 
  • Partner closely with the Core Team, Vocal/Music Director and Creatives Director for guidance
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team

  • Experience coordinating or managing Audio/Visual (A/V) components
  • Proven video editing skills and experience with editing software
  • Proficiency in Apple and Windows PCs, ProPresenter, Power Point, Word, Excel

 

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead the mentorship program provided through Quest Young Adults. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion the mentorship program as developed by the Student Ministries Pastor and Core Team
  • Recruit, train and develop a network of mentors to serve the young adult demographic
  • Partner with Pastor and Core Team on the implementation of mentor policies and procedures
  • Plan and schedule seasonal orientations for mentors and mentees
  • Develop and implement evaluation form to assess the effectiveness of mentors
  • Develop and implement evaluation form to assess the effectiveness of the program
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults and adults to serve on the team of mentors
  • Promote the program internally and externally with direction from the Student Ministries Pastor

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead the musicians of the worship team for Quest Young Adults events and special occasions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Model and lead through an invitational style, pointing people to Jesus
  • Develop a comprehensive list of worship songs that reflect cultural and musical diversity
  • Recruit, audition, teach and train musicians
  • Plan and lead scheduled rehearsals, providing music/songs prior to meeting
  • Partner with the Vocal Director (VD) to arrange the flow of the worship experience
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead the prayer team of Quest Young Adults. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan scheduled times of prayer during events, partnering with the Core Team
  • Organize prayer calls specifically for Quest Young Adults weekly, bi-weekly or monthly
  • Collect a list of prayer requests from young adults for the purpose of prayer
  • Serve as a liaison between Quest Young Adults and Upper Room Community (URC)
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team

  • Proven experience in the discipline of prayer and intercession
  • Strong gifts of exhortation (encouragement), administration, wisdom and helping

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Facilitate a young adults Life Group or Life Activity group during the course of the year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend all small group trainings through Christ Church
  • Facilitate/supervise a small group with an assistant
  • Study all Life Group curriculum for bible studies and discussion
  • Partner with the Small Group ministry of Christ Church for all meetings
  • Promote small groups through word of mouth, texts and social media

ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED / SPIRITUAL GIFT

  • Foundational biblical knowledge

 

 

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Support the facilitation of a Life Group or Life Activity group with the assigned small group leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend all small group trainings through Christ Church
  • Support the facilitation/supervision a small group with an assistant
  • Study all Life Group curriculum for bible studies and discussion
  • Support the small group leader in reaching out to participants
  • Partner with the Small Group ministry of Christ Church for all meetings
  • Promote small groups through word of mouth, texts and social media

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead fellowship opportunities for young adults principally outside of the Christ Church campuses in Montclair and Rockaway, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan fellowship events for young adults monthly including fun outings and yearly retreats
  • Create a budget to provide clear costs to young adults for events
  • Work with pre-approved transportation vendors (if necessary)
  • Work with Core Team to ensure all planned events are in keeping with our internal calendars
  • Promote social events through word of mouth, texts and social media

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Plan, schedule and lead the regional open mic event (The Sidewalk). 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the theme for the open mic, planning the musical and creative needs for the event
  • Create the event budget with approval by the Core Team
  • Partner with pre-approved vendors for food, music, and creative presentations
  • Collaborate with the hospitality, music and creatives teams 
  • Identify, recruit and invite young adults to serve on the team
