Note: To be considered for a full-time position, you must be a committed Christian and have attended Christ Church within the past three months.
Chief Operating Officer (Full Time)
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for a wide range of operational duties that leads to the health of the entire organization. He/she must provide exceptional organizational leadership and executive management in all areas of operations including administration, project completion, management of subsidiary organizations, and development. The COO's role intersects with the pastoral and people management side of the church.
The candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business (or a related field), though an MBA is preferred.
The applicant must have a minimum of 10 years in middle to upper management positions; possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
The COO must be a team builder, with the ability to develop and supervise a group of professionals including the CFO and other technical executive leaders while keeping production up and the team on task.
The COO is also responsible for the analytics within their sphere of control.
Manager of Human Resources (Full Time)
The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function—and responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. Must administer human resources policies, programs, and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing.
Incumbent must possess general knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of personnel management; ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and legal documents.
The ideal candidate has skills and an experience base that supports formulation of policies and procedures for Human Resources, and recommends related policies and practices to senior management.
Candidate must have a minimum of mid-level management experience in developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
A bachelor's degree and five years of human resources experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. SHRM or HRCI certification a plus.
Manager of Facilities (Full Time)
Manager of Facilities will provide scheduling, guidance, and oversight to a department of seven in proper execution of all facilities maintenance projects consisting of but not limited to: chiller maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and construction.
Incumbent will work with external contractors to ensure proper project management, and dialog and interface with Director of Operations to determine best-in-class practices for the execution of the Facilities department.
Manages the performance of prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery, plumbing systems, building repairs, and the ongoing maintenance of buildings or grounds as required.
Work with the Information Technical Manager to ensure that the surveillance and access systems are functional and operational 24/7.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and five to seven years' experience in Facility Management, and possess pertinent certificates in boiler and related equipment maintenance.
Facilities Technician (Full Time)
The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Manager and will help in the proper execution of all facilities maintenance projects consisting of but not limited to chiller maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and minor construction. This position will also support any after-hours building needs and activities as required to ensure the full operation of the ministry of Christ Church.
Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the full operation and function of all Christ Church properties including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building management systems.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery, plumbing systems, building repairs, and the ongoing maintenance of buildings or grounds as required.
Comply with all safety procedures and requirements in maintenance, and compliance to ordinances and codes for City, County, and State.
Minimum of three to five years' experience in facilities maintenance; minimum of associate's degree or equivalent technical school education; and possession of pertinent certificates in boiler and related equipment upkeep is a plus.
Youth Ministry West Campus Director (Part Time)
The role of the West Campus Youth Director is to provide vision, oversight, and leadership to ministries, departments, and programs for all high school students. Its purpose is also to ensure Christ Church's vision and goals concerning youth ministry are executed in a Christ-glorifying way that results in relevant ministry to teenagers throughout their varied stages of growth and development.
Responsible for providing shepherding and leadership to all teenagers specifically at our West Campus. Our aim is to develop fully devoted followers of Christ among our teenage population.
Provide ongoing training, leadership development, and fellowship opportunities for all volunteer leaders so that the youth ministry can be better postured to fulfill its missional and visionary goals as directed by the Pastor of Student Ministries.
The applicant must possess strong team-building skills that facilitate a community and cohort feel among the youth group along with the East Campus youth ministry leadership.
The candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in education (or a related field), though a graduate degree is preferred.
Children's Ministry East Campus Supervisor (Full Time)
The role of the East Campus Supervisor of Children's Ministry is to provide primary leadership, oversight, and coordination of the ministry and operations at our East Campus site in Montclair, NJ.
Responsible for working alongside the Associate Children's Ministry Director in administrating master scheduling, team management, supply, inventory, campus pastoral reports, and all other internal children's operations.
Facilitating and organizing classroom activities, curriculum, events, team trainings and orientations along with the Director of Children's Ministry.
The applicant must possess strong team-building skills that facilitate a community and cohort feel among the Children's Ministry, working with our staff and volunteer team at our East Campus location.
Minimum of three to five years of experience in church ministry in a similar context is preferred. The candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in education (or a related field), though a graduate degree is preferred.
Choir Director (Part Time)
The Choir Director is a part-time position, responsible for developing an East Campus adult choir who is able to perform songs from a wide variety of Christian musical styles, both traditional and current. The Choir Director is under the direct supervision of the Worship Pastor and Music Directors.
A committed Christian who is deepening their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and modeling this to others.
A Bachelor's Degree in Music is preferred, but at least 5 years of experience leading adult choirs.
Knowledge of a wide variety of musical styles and the ability to teach these varying styles to the choir.
Must be able to sing and teach parts effectively.
Possess good organizational, computer and communication skills.
Possess a positive attitude.
Must be able to provide relevant references and or samples of your musical expertise.
Visionary, cross-generational and far-reaching leadership style
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and lead the choir during monthly Sunday worship services and lead weekly (Thursday night) rehearsals in Montclair.
Assist the Worship Pastor with major musical events, i.e. Christmas, Christmas Eve services and Easter services, New Year's Eve, etc.
Recruit and develop new choir members.
Worship & Creative Arts Ministry: Childcare Support (Part Time)
The Worship & Creative Arts Ministry is looking for one to two adult women, who are Christ Church members, to work one to two nights a month at the Church overseeing the childcare room while parents are rehearsing with the music ministry. On average there will be seven to nine children, ages 3-10.
Thursday nights – East Campus (Montclair)
6:30pm – 9:30pm
Or, a few
Tuesday nights – West Campus (Rockaway)
7:00pm – 9:45pm
A small stipend is paid for work each evening.
