When I look back at 2022, there are several things that come to mind. Our ministry was blessed beyond measure to continue our mission of uniting people to God and people to people—as evidenced by the launch of our third physical location—the Clifton Campus—but I was also amazed by the revelation God gave for The Next Chapter of our ministry through the words of Matthew 25:35-36.
"35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
So while I look back on an incredible year where we saw over 2,000 hearts come to Christ, I'm also blown away at what lies ahead as we answer Jesus’ call to expand our care for the community. I have always considered it a privilege to co-labor with you in praying, serving and giving to our love-fueled ministry. And now I look forward to doing so in this next phase.
On behalf of myself, my wife and our leadership, I sincerely thank you for all that you do. Just think...
1,000 people joined our church-wide Fasting for Renewal in January
300 people joined The Generosity Journey to grow in the grace of giving
We launched The Legacy Group in March and School of Worship in July
We hosted 25,000 from the community at our annual Tri-County Fair
And those are just a few examples of how your giving makes more of an impact than you can ever imagine. As you peruse this Annual Report, give yourself a pat on the back—and get ready for God to blow us away even more with what He has planned next!

We witnessed over 2,000 people making a decision for Christ in 2022—which we could not have done without your generosity! Your praying, serving and giving makes an eternal impact, and we never take for granted your big-heartedness for God's people.
We also welcomed approximately 200 new members into our church family through our Joining Our Church Family online course. As our family expands across our four campuses—Montclair, Rockaway, Clifton and Online—we're so thankful to partner with you as we seek to unite people to God and people to people.

Declarations for Christ!
In 2022, we saw over 200 people take a big, faith-building step by making a public declaration of an inward change! During our Water Baptism Weekends in the spring and fall, we heard amazing stories of life-changing transformation. Stories of breakthroughs, overcoming addictions, healings and miracles were on display for our entire CC Family to see and hear.
Your giving helps to make this possible, so it's with sincere gratitude we say:
THANK YOU!
Since becoming a Christ follower, I have acquired so much more confidence and a sense of self-worth as a child of the Most High. Even in my hardest moments, I have this sense of peace because I know that He is with me and guiding my life. Even when I do feel myself backsliding, I have acquired this self-awareness and conviction, I feel the urgent need to repent and move forward. I find myself hungry for the Word and making more time to be in His presence throughout the day. —S.C.
On March 27, 2022, a historic moment happened within the life of our church when we held our first service at our third location—the Clifton Campus at the AMC theater! It’s amazing how God can use something like the movies to reach people and transform lives. At our very first service, almost 30 people gave their hearts to Christ and almost 400 people were in attendance for an unforgettable experience! And to think, it’s only the beginning.
A transformative Weekend Experience is essential to the life of a healthy church, so we are filled with gratitude and joy when we think about the hundreds of volunteers that help make Sunday the best day of the week. By the end of 2022, we had six (6) in-person Weekend Experiences stretched across our three locations—thanks to the additional service we added in Montclair to accommodate our continued growth—along with our thriving and faithful Online Campus.
Through two years of COVID impacting our in-person Weekend Experience, God showed himself faithful, and in 2022, we saw a return to normalcy as our family returned and expanded!
In-Person ServicesOur ministry expanded its global reach even more in 2022; through YouTube, Church Online Platform and Facebook, we saw our CC Online Family grow in God and in community!

Small Groups are where friends become family, so to see continued growth in this area of our ministry with more groups, leaders and members than ever, is something to shout about! That's because we know it means people are doing life together by growing in Christ and growing in community (and having lots of fun along the way).
We love hearing stories of life transformation happening within our Small Groups. Check out a couple of those stories in the video below. To God be the glory!
We're so grateful to see how your giving helps us reach the next generation! Through devotionals, Small Groups, Bible studies, events and more, our Quest Kids, Teens, College Students and Young Adults were encouraged and empowered as they continued to unlock their potential—growing into the leaders God has called them to be!
As our Quest youth is presented with opportunities to stretch themselves, we're proud to see them grow in Christ and community by participating in teen outreach opportunities. In addition, our Quest College Internship program continues to open doors for our college students; they not only gain valuable workplace skills, but they get entrenched in an environment where they can grow spiritually as well.
Last but not least, our Mobile Missionaries program sponsors 2 college missionaries on an annual basis, serving 4 local colleges (NJIT, Essex County, Rutgers-Newark and William Paterson). Their goals are to build a strong Christian community on campus—while training students on how to effectively share the love and hope of Jesus!

Through prayer, our Healing School and Lay Counseling ministries, and much more, our Pastoral Care Ministry continued serving the CC Family with holistic support and spiritual guidance. In addition, our Care Groups (GriefShare, DivorceCare, etc.) saw an increase of approximately 300 people, affording us the opportunity to model Christ-like care to those in need of emotional, mental and physical support in a variety of ways—in Jesus' name!

People Made Decisions for Christ
There's nothing like Resurrection Sunday, and every year we’re blown away by what God does through our ministry on this special day. Between our in-person and online services, we had approximately 7,000 people join us in celebrating our risen King—and approximately 200 people give their hearts to Christ!
This unforgettable day also featured egg hunts, games and prizes for our kids and teens, many of whom were part of new families that were experiencing CC for the very first time.

Our annual Prayer festival returned as a full-day event—with thousands of people from the region gathering to be renewed. In an atmosphere of worship, preaching and of course prayer, this unforgettable experience facilitated life-changing God encounters!
Each year, we get ready for Prayerfest through a six-week Prayer Journey that prepares our hearts to cry out to God for our personal, regional and global needs—and 2022 was no different. In fact, in the weeks leading up to Prayerfest, we held special Friday night prayer services titled “An Evening of Renewal.” These services helped us build expectation—as hungry-for-God people readied their hearts for an incredible day that ministered to thousands in over 30 countries!

Faithful Volunteers
The Tri-County Fair returned for the first time since 2019 with a bang! Not only did we draw a record crowd to our Rockaway Campus, where people enjoyed food, games, rides and more, but we were thrilled to see thousands of new families visit us for the first time. This gave us the opportunity to share, reflect and even introduce the love and hope of Jesus to our community through the way we served.
Thank you to each and everyone of our 500-plus volunteers who served our community with excellence!
Gathered for Movie Night
Every opportunity we have to serve and connect with the community is a chance that we relish, which is why our Family Outdoor Movie Night has become an integral component of Summer at CC in recent years. These opportunities give us a chance to spend some time with new families; we even offer them tours of our Rockaway Campus as a way to share a little bit about our ministry.
In addition, our wonderful serving teams always shine as they help to facilitate a fun (and free) family night out that hundreds of people enjoy under the stars!

Married Couples Renewed
Our marriage seminars are designed to help couples take their marriages to the next level of emotional health and happiness, so it was a true joy to minister to approximately 100 couples (many of whom were guests) for a day of teaching, group exercises, games and fellowship.
A big thanks goes out to our Married Life Group Leaders and Marriage Mentors, as they make it possible for us to equip, encourage and empower couples to reach new levels of joy and fulfillment in their marriages!

An annual favorite throughout the region, our 2022 Christmas Concert Miraculous featured singing, dancing, original animation created by our production team, acting and other forms of artistic expression.
Our dynamic Christmas production continues to be much more than just an entertaining night out for our local communities and Online Campus. We were elated to see that over 100 people made decisions for Christ by encountering God through our concert!
God's grace was evident in every area of our ministry throughout 2022, so it's only fitting that we ended the year on a Miraculous note.
Serving our neighbor took on a different dynamic in 2022; not only did we continue to meet the felt needs of our local communities through our Food Pantry’s annual outreach opportunity—Food for Hope, where we gave out 30,000 pounds of food to 700 families—but a vision of expanding our care for the community was unveiled by our Lead Pastor, Dr. David Ireland, and it has us eagerly anticipating The Next Chapter of our ministry.

In addition, through our partnership with Montclair Emergency Services for Hope (MESH) and our own Food Pantry, we continued to make a significant impact in the community. Food Pantry recipients have the option of picking up their food or having it delivered by Mobile Missionaries (who have distributed food to Morris, Essex, Passaic, Hudson and Union counties). We recognize that the needs of many recipients extend far beyond food insecurity, so our Mobile Missionaries also provide words of encouragement and prayer as they come alongside the people they encounter.

The end of 2022 saw the future of our ministry unveiled, and our hearts are compelled like never before to provide Christ-like CARE in a more impactful way that confidently ministers to the whole person. Our desire is for our Lord to say to us when He returns, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Inspired by Jesus' heart and compassion, the centerpiece to our expansion of care to the community is The CARE Center—a central hub that offers a myriad of ministry-based offerings comprised of Community Services (dental and eye referral services, legal clinic, etc.), Health and Well-Being Services (food pantry, clothing thrift shop, etc.) and Family Support Services (support groups, English as a Second Language, etc.).
Through the 15-20 programs offered by The CARE Center, we'd be helping to build strong families and flourishing communities. We invite you to learn more and join The Next Chapter Movement via the link below!
Our ministry efforts in Central America continued in 2022 with a 13-person team serving in the region for eight days. We saw an incredible move of God during our time there, and we couldn't have done it without your generosity—which makes a global and eternal difference.
We’re proud to say that our ministry’s impact was felt on many levels; from meeting felt needs to an emphasis on emotional health and spiritual growth. For example, we’ve now given out over 50 business loans as part of our ongoing microloan program that began in 2021. These loans have afforded parents the ability to better provide financially for their families.
In addition, we not only help disciple teens, college students and parents, but we even had a full-day of pastoral leadership training to encourage, empower and equip many local pastors—renewing them with the ability to pour into their congregations!

We exist to unite people to God and people to people—and we wouldn't exist without your big-heartedness. When you give to God through the church, you impact people, families, regions and nations all over the world!
To be a church that is racially, culturally and ethnically integrated. Our message on promoting reconciliation and restoration among the races is a very real one to us. Acceptance of people is our calling and passion.
We feel God's mandate to build a worshipful congregation where praise music plays a significant role. Our worship will be celebrative, prophetic and rich in the participation of the performing arts.
We strive to prepare the next generation to reach their potential for Jesus Christ. Innovative methods of instruction will be utilized so that many may respond to the call of God and serve their generation as gifted leaders.
Education must be sought-after and embraced by God's people. To succeed in a competitive and secularized world and to serve as the next generation of leaders, we must engage in their spiritual education and own their learning.
We believe that serving the needs of our community is part of our Christian responsibility. Therefore, we will continue to develop Bible-based social programs to help solve some of our community's problems.
The Great Commission must be fulfilled! Trained missionaries, theologians, specialists in church matters and five-fold ministry gifts are needed to address the needs of the 21st century. Christ Church strives to ensure that its membership is both biblically literate and skilled in applying the word of God. We view ourselves as developers of leaders in every age category.
