You have just begun the most important relationship of your life!
Like any relationship, the first few days, weeks, and months often set the tone for the rest of the relationship. Let’s answer a few questions and look at some of the next steps you can take to build your faith and relationship with Jesus.
Think of prayer as talking with God. Simply share your thoughts. Ask God to teach and strengthen you. Ask God to meet your needs, your family needs, and to help you and those around you each day.
One simple but effective way to organize and develop your prayer time with God is through the use of the prayer wheel below. You can begin with 15 minutes of prayer by praying 3 minutes through each of the 5 sections of the wheel.

Look at reading God’s Word as spiritual nutrition. Just like you need to physically eat every day, reading the Bible feeds you spiritually. Purchasing your own Bible is a great investment or you can also read and/or listen to the Bible online at websites like www.Biblegateway.com or download a Bible app such as YouVersion.
A simple way to start reading the Bible is to first read through the Gospel of John over the course of a week. Following the schedule below, in less than 15 minutes per day, you can read 3 chapters to learn more about Jesus and the plan He has for your life.
