Hearing the Voice of God
For years, Encounter with God has been a cherished rhythm at Christ Church—a time for our church family to pause, seek God's presence, and experience the power of worship and prayer together.
This summer, we're building on that foundation with an even more immersive Encounter experience centered around the topic, Hearing the Voice of God. Through intentional teaching, powerful worship, moments of ministry, and creative elements designed to prepare our hearts, we'll create space to hear from the Lord in a fresh and meaningful way.
Whether you've attended every Encounter or this will be your first, we believe God has something unique in store for you and yours. Invite your family and friends to be encouraged, challenged, and transformed as we seek Him together.
We're excited to welcome special guest worship leaders Lizzie Morgan and Jonathan Stamper, whose passion for God's presence and heart for worship have impacted churches and believers around the world.
Together with Christ Church Collective, and the teaching of our Lead Pastor, Dr. David Ireland, they'll lead us in a powerful night of worship as we lift our hearts to God and make room for Him to move.
Immediately following Encounter, all are invited to remain for Midnight Watch, an extended time of prayer and seeking God's presence together.
This unique, in-person experience creates additional space to linger in worship, respond to what God is speaking, and join with others in intercession and personal prayer.
No registration is required for Midnight Watch, and all Encounter attendees are welcome to stay as long as they wish.
Encounter begins at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm). Midnight Watch follows immediately afterward (approximately 9pm).
For more than three decades, Dr. Ireland has challenged believers to pursue God's presence through a lifestyle of prayer. As the founder of Christ Church's School of Prayer and the author of numerous books on prayer and spiritual formation, his ministry has inspired thousands to deepen their relationship with God and discern His voice with greater clarity. His passion is simple: to help people encounter God in life-changing ways.
Christ Church Collective is a group of talented creatives who are members or friends of Christ Church. This group represents decades of experience and noteworthy accomplishments ranging from Grammy-award winning music tours as well as rich, dedicated devotion to the local church. They are passionate about leading the church body into worship and initiating a tone for people to encounter God.
Raised in her grandparents’ church just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, Lizzie was practically born singing songs to God. From her first solo at age 5, Lizzie knew she loved to sing, but it wasn’t until she started leading worship that she felt God’s calling on her life to do music full time. From singing with Maverick City Music as well as Red Worship to her debut album, Not My Will, her music showcases her lifelong love for worship.
Jonathan is a prominent worship leader, songwriter, and church planter who co-founded Freedom Nation Church in Houston, Texas. He frequently hosts major spiritual gatherings, including the World Made Free Conference and local Revival Nights in collaboration with regional prayer organizations. Raised in the Christ Church house, he returns not just as a guest—but as family.
