Nearly 60 students kicked off the summer in style by participating in “Color Wars”–the popular (and messy) team-challenge competition–on a beautiful Sunday following the teen worship service in Montclair. “We had such a great time at teen church today! The very best part of my single-mom life is being able to raise kids with strong faith and family values!” Sharonda Snead-Scroggins said. “Every last one of them showed up today—even my college-bound beauties. COLOR WARS!!” Just a couple of weeks prior, students and parents gathered together for some family entertainment in the Fellowship Hall at the East Campus, enjoying the powerful and inspiring movie “Wonder.” The fun-filled evening gave the Teen Ministry an opportunity to foster community, compassion, and Christ-centered memories on what proved to be a special day.
Meanwhile at the West Campus, friends and family were invited to celebrate hardworking graduates as the Teen Ministry hosted a Gradua-tion Reception for 8th-graders and 12th-graders. Amanda Reece, who is headed to college, gave a beautiful testimony on how God provides her with perspective—giving her strength to cope with life’s most difficult chal-lenges. As a young Christ follower, Amanda is a role model for her peers at Christ Church and beyond!
