Beginning Monday, May 9 and running through Sunday, May 15, we’re setting aside the entire week to serve others through simple acts of love, compassion and kindness. We would love for you to join us by selecting one day during this same week to do your act of kindness for someone. As a church, our goal is to have everyone connected to our Christ Church family participate by Sunday, May 15, 2022—the day we’re calling Others’ Day.
Simple acts that focus on others can come in all forms—large and small. How you choose to perform yours is entirely up to you! It can be as simple as picking up the coffee tab for a random person, dropping a bit of change in the cup of the homeless person along the street or taking a friend out to lunch—just because they’re your friend.
A simple act of compassion from one person creates a ripple effect that impacts the lives of individuals and makes a difference in communities.
Scripture calls us not only to perform random and occasional acts of kindness but to practice kindness as an intentional part of our living as followers of Christ.
Evidence shows that helping others can reduce stress, improve self-esteem and create more happiness.
A simple act of kindness can be a gateway that sparks a conversation about the love of Jesus.
It changes our perspective and turns the attention from ourselves towards others.
Your act of kindness can encourage and inspire others to act in the same vein causing a chain reaction.
Sometimes it's the smallest act that makes the biggest impact; something as simple as saying “please” or “thank you” can turn someone's day around. Don't miss this opportunity to help us model Christ in a tangible way through these random acts of kindness for others!
Select one day from May 9-15 to creatively perform an act of kindness towards others and give them a Kindness Card.
